Own My Life Awards Season Celebrated in the Sunderland Echo

Although our charity's reach is across the UK and Ireland (and sometimes further afield, like Australia!), we do all of our work from our based in Sunderland, in north east England. We are proud that our work is delivered from such a beautiful city by the sea!
And this week, we’re delighted to share that Own My Life’s awards season has been featured in our local newspaper, the Sunderland Echo!
We are celebrating after Lover Liar Predator, a BBC documentary featuring our work, was nominated for a Scottish BAFTA and shortlisted for a prestigious Grierson Award - the British Documentary Awards. Meanwhile own podcast has become a finalist in the Independent Podcast Awards!
It’s wonderful to see our work and the impact of Own My Life receiving recognition in our local community. This coverage is an opportunity to shine a light on the importance of our mission and the work taking place to support women to own their lives, through understanding their experiences, take back their power and move forward with their lives.
Being featured in the Sunderland Echo is a lovely moment for everyone connected with Own My Life. We’re grateful to have our work recognised and to be able to share our message with an even wider audience.
A huge thank you to everyone who supports Own My Life, champions our work and helps us reach more women. Your support makes a real difference.
