Last week was another beautiful training week! Look at these magnificent participant comments!
The best training I have ever done!🥇
I like the language used by Own My Life and the emphasis on a woman’s own agency.✊🏾
Nothing feels random - everything has a purpose, and that's what makes Own My Life so powerful.đź’Ą
Amazing - reinforced some of my perspectives and opinions and changed some. Refreshing to have something so modern.🤯
I was engaged throughout the course which was really difficult for me given I don’t generally respond well to online learning.🤩
This was possibly the best training programme I have been on.  The approach to the training is designed to minimise trauma to the participants.💖
For any organisation working with women recovering following domestic abuse, I would strongly recommend that they consider funding practitioners to attend this training.🌟
This course goes above and beyond what any authority alone can achieve because it empowers people to find their own voice, reclaim their lives, and make a meaningful difference for others.📢
Alongside Own My Life, I have a coaching practice and other mental health and suicide first aid training so I’m looking to combine all of that not only in my coaching but also in my volunteering.➕
One of the biggest highlights of the week was actually the humour! I never expected to laugh so much while covering such difficult topics… It reminded me that healing can include laughter too.🤣
This was the smoothest run Zoom delivery of training I have ever attended. The regular and varied use of breakout rooms and online activities was excellent and was undertaken very professionally.đź’»
Honestly love it, love it, love it, cannot wait to support other beautiful, amazing women to Own Their Lives. I feel truly honoured to be in this position and totally empowered and driving to create a wave of change.❤️‍🔥
Not only will I be able to deliver this course to women who have been abused. I will also be able to use what I have learned and the resources provided in delivering staff training and raising awareness with other professionals and community groups.đźšş
This training has changed how I think, communicate, and support others. I feel better equipped to recognise coercive control, respond with empathy, and empower women to heal and move forward with confidence. It will have a lasting impact on both my professional practice and my personal mission to advocate through my lived experience.🦹🏼‍♀️
When I started the 12-week Own My Life Victim Course in January, I honestly didn't even think I was a victim of domestic abuse. I believed my story wasn't "bad enough" and that other women's experiences mattered more than mine. Looking back now, I realise that course gently opened what I can only describe as Pandora's box. It helped me understand my own experiences in a way I never had before. The Facilitator Course opened that box even wider.❤️‍🩹
