We were delighted to see our CEO, Natalie Collins, join Sonia Perez on her brilliant podcast, The Intersectional Hub.
This episode is especially close to our hearts. Sonia previously attended an Own My Life course, and she speaks openly about the huge difference it made to her journey. Hearing Sonia reflect on the tools, insights, and solidarity she gained from Own My Life is incredibly inspiring.
During their conversation, Natalie explores the ways in which abusers deliberately sabotage their partner’s employment, alongside the many other tactics used to control and diminish women’s lives. These are hard truths, but it’s vital to name them – because awareness is a key step toward change.
What makes this episode so powerful is how Sonia embodies the heart of Own My Life: reclaiming her future and building a life defined not by abuse, but by agency, joy, and resilience. We’re so proud to cheer her on as she continues to own her life and use her platform to shine a light on the intersectional challenges (and joys!) that women face.

We’re grateful to Sonia for her courage and voice, and to The Intersectional Hub for amplifying stories that matter.
