March Facilitator Training

Last week we had our March Facilitator Training and it was a magnificent week with some brilliant women! They shared the following comments about Own My Life and the training:
💥 This is life changing for women; I wish I had had this course. 💥
🧠 The training hugely increased my knowledge in being able to support women individually whilst they are waiting to attend a course. 🧠
📚 I have learnt a huge amount and have already used some of it in my classroom lesson delivery Wednesday and Thursday evening to great effect. 📚
🌟 It's a modern, realistic and intelligent approach to supporting women who have had domestic abuse perpetrated onto them. 🌟
🌍 I think it contains information which should be available to all professionals, along with introducing healthy relationships to young girls. In an ideal world, the content would be shared with everyone! 🌍
☀️ It provides information on how to address subjects in group without focusing on personal experiences alongside providing support on facilitating difficult sessions and how to discuss things in a positive light. ☀️
✊ It has been wonderful to undertake a strong, feminist, gender based approach to training. It has also been brilliant to meet the range of other strong women on the facilitator course and learn from their knowledge/experiences. ✊
❤️🔥 Amazing!! Fantastic programme. Covers topics that I had existing knowledge of but with a focus on women being central/having control over their experiences and what they want. Does not shy away or apologise for women being strong, empowered and non-conformist. ❤️🔥
🏆 Good content, very different from other group work focused on recovery methods. Very educational and allows participants to be able to see themselves in their bodies, their rights, challenge sociological factors that try to define them, impact of domestic abuse and how they can choose to show up for their lives post abuse. 🏆
