Changing women's lives
Women who have been subjected to abuse deserve resources which will help them take back ownership of their lives from the abuser. They need support from practitioners who have strong literacy about abuse, trauma and the wider harms of a misogynistic society. Trauma science, digital media and education methods have hopped, skipped and jumped ahead; while practitioner training and group work programmes and other resources for women often remain stuck in the nineties or early noughties.
Our revolutionary “Own My Life” approach combines decades of research about abuse and trauma with a high tech, innovative and transformational methodology. We equip practitioners to give women the skills to understand abuse, make sense of their lives and move forward with hope and positivity.
Don’t just take our word for it though! Own My Life has been described by those who’ve been in the domestic abuse sector for over 30 years (and those who are new to the sector) as “revolutionary", "mindblowing" and "by far the best" resource available:

-
"It's the best training I've ever attended. I feel radicalised, incentivised and energised."
-
"I have taken a lot of trainings over the last 20 years of doing this work and this is without a doubt at the very top, I believe it's my favourite one."
-
"It replaces ALL the materials I have been using with women thus far, and I can't wait to start facilitating the workshops and help women re-build their self-efficacy.
Although public awareness of abuse is increasing, many practitioners are worn down, demoralised and struggling to remain hopeful. Not only does our training inject hope and joy, but practitioners leave our training events with tools to enable women to change their (and their children’s) lives.
Amanda is one of thousands of women who have taken back ownership of their lives when a service like yours has trained to run the Own My Life course.
