Session 9 – Children’s Roles Extra Scenarios

< Back

Clifton is twelve. When he was eight he was diagnosed with ADHD. He is no longer in mainstream school as he tried to burn it down. His mum doesn’t know how to help him behave. His dad is in prison after he tried to kill Clifton’s mum.

Gladys is nine. She doesn't eat much and her mum has noticed she's been pulling her hair out. She keeps on having time off school, complaining of tummy aches. Gladys blames herself for what her step-dad does at home.

Mortimer is eight. At school he refuses to do what he is told, at home he screams and swears at his mum. Occasionally he has thrown his toys at her and kicked her. Mortimer’s dad also does this to his mum.
